Delicate poppy seed slices with vanilla cream and caramel nuts. A quick and tasty dessert ideal for any occasion. A great recipe for poppy seed lovers.
Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 5 eggs
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 150 g plain flour
  • 150 g whole poppy seeds
  • 1 package of Liana baking powder


For the cream:


For the caramelized nuts:

  • walnuts
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 30 g butter
  • 90 ml of whipped cream

  1. Beat the eggs with the sugar until thick.
  2. By hand, mix the flour mixed with baking powder and poppy seeds.
  3. Pour the dough onto a large baking sheet and bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  4. After baking, let cool and cut in half.
  5. Make a pudding from milk, vanilla sugar and Golden Cream and let it cool.
  6. Beat the butter and gradually add the pudding.
  7. Finally, whisk in the mascarpone.
  8. Spread the cream on the dough, cover with the second part of the dough and spread a thin layer of the remaining cream on top.
  9. Heat the sugar to caramel, add the butter, let it melt and pour in the cream.
  10. We mix until everything is well combined.
  11. Finally, add the chopped nuts.
  12. After cooling, sprinkle them on top of the cake.
