With the help of Isomalt, you can create beautiful, sweet cake decorations - lace, crystals, butterflies, letters, flowers,... The substance is colorless. You can add food coloring. Isomalt is a synthetic, highly plastic sweetener with a relatively low operating temperature. Perfect for caramel creations.
Composition: Isomalt E953 - belongs to the group of sugar alcohols. Slightly hygroscopic and thermostable. It reduces the caloric content and sweetening power. The sweetener is roughly half as sweet as table sugar and contains only half the energy (calories), it has a very low glycemic index. It does not leave any unpleasant taste in the mouth. Excessive consumption can cause laxative effects.

The use:
Pour the isomalt into a silicone bowl and heat it in the microwave for 2 to 4 minutes until it melts. You can also dissolve it in a pot on the stove.
Isomalt melts at 180°C. Be careful - wear protective gloves. You can now color the isomalt dissolved in this way or use it straight away without coloring - pour it into a silicone mold (make sure that the mold is suitable for working with isomalt above 180°C). Quickly wipe off the excess isomalt with a silicone or steel spatula. After cooling, you can remove the decoration from the mold.
