Liana citric acid: a cheap household helper
Citric acid is a natural ingredient in many fruits and vegetables. The largest amount of citric acid can be found in citrus fruits, especially lemons and limes. It is composed of white crystals, which are great for seasoning food or homemade preserves in the kitchen. It can also easily deal with many domestic problems, whether it is limescale or mold around faucets, toilets or other susceptible surfaces. It is gentle on household appliances and, unlike vinegar, does not create an unpleasant smell. Descaling works primarily to protect appliances and to extend their lifespan. Limestone acts as an insulating layer in appliances, which prevents the transfer of heat and thereby prolongs the boiling time.
The use of Liana citric acid
Citric acid not only successfully removes limescale, but also restores lost shine , releases clogged waste, disinfects , and can also be used in the production of home fabric softener . It can easily replace many cleaning products as their cheaper, faster, health-friendly and ecological alternative . For limescale problems, it is enough to mix citric acid with water. The ratio of 2 KL of citric acid to 0.5 l of water is most often used. We remove limescale from the kettle by pouring water over all deposits. Depending on the amount of water, adjust the amount of citric acid and bring to a boil. After turning off the kettle, let the solution cool down, rinse the kettle and continue using it. If we remove limescale from a washing machine or dishwasher, we use 250 g of Liana citric acid and start the cycle empty. We apply a similar procedure to the coffee machine, but in this case we use only 1 tbsp of Liana citric acid dissolved in warm water and pour it into the reservoir so that it boils empty. To reduce the lemon aroma, we perform a second cleaning cycle with only clean water. In the bathroom or in the kitchen, Liana's citric acid will help restore the shine not only to tiles, but also to faucets. It is enough to dissolve 160 g of Liana citric acid in 1 l of water. For easier use of the solution, we can use a sprayer. To achieve a more pleasant aroma, add a few drops of essential oil to the solution. A clogged siphon is also a common problem in many households. By mixing Liana citric acid with Liana baking soda in a 1:1 ratio, we get a compound that, together with boiling water and a rubber bell, can unclog any drain. Citric acid solution can also be used as a disinfectant for various surfaces, in a ratio of one part citric acid to nine parts water. It is also possible to use this ratio as a polish for mirrors or windows. Homemade fabric softener using citric acid is made by mixing 80-100 g of powder with drops of essential oil. After mixing the mixture thoroughly, dose it like a regular fabric softener.
